Guess Who's Lying is a social party game built on deception and laughs. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
Optional Google Sign-In
You can use the app without creating an account.
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive and store:
- Email address
- Display name (name from your Google account)
- Profile photo URL (if provided by Google)
This information is stored in Firebase Authentication and in our Firestore database so we can recognize your account across devices and sessions.
In-game content
When you play, we collect:
- Player display names / usernames
- Answers and choices in each round (gameplay content)
- Bug reports or feedback you submit inside the app
This content is used only inside the game and for improving the app.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device information (device model, OS version, language, app version)
- Approximate location (coarse location such as country/region, used for analytics and ads)
- App usage data (screens viewed, basic interactions, session length)
- Advertising data (which ads were shown, impressions, clicks)
- Identifiers (Firebase user ID, device advertising identifiers such as IDFA / AAID, where allowed)
- Crash and performance data (crash logs, error reports, app launch and performance metrics)
We do not collect sensitive categories such as health data, contacts, or payment card information.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide core app functionality (rooms, player names, gameplay sync)
- Improve the game (fix bugs/crashes, performance/usage insights)
- Prevent cheating, spam, or abuse
- Show ads and measure basic ad performance
We do not sell your personal data.

4. Ads
- The current version of the app does display ads.
- Ads are provided by Google AdMob and its partners.
- Depending on your location, you may see a consent dialog where you can choose personalized or non-personalized ads.
We do not use your email or name to directly target ads.
5. Children’s Privacy
The app is not intended for children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
6. Data Retention
- Game rooms & gameplay content may be kept for a limited time.
- Account-related data (Google sign-in users) is stored while the account remains active.
- Crash and analytics data may be kept for a reasonable period.
7. Security
We use Firebase security rules, authentication, and other technical measures to help protect stored data. However, no system is 100% secure.
8. Your Choices
- You can use the app without signing in.
- If you sign in with Google, you can later revoke that access from your Google account settings.
- You may request deletion of account-related data and bug report content by contacting us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
